If you are like me and love cool watches get this! I have a Solar Powered Digital G-Shock and this one now, and my collection looks pretty cool, it's very dressy and kind of has a 'bling' effect to it. Setting the time is not hard just dont loose the instructions.

For many years, I wanted a nice classic analog chronograph, but never got around to buying one. However, I did own a classic Casio G-Shock watch I purchased 20 years ago (and is still running!), and I decided upon a classic analog with G-Shock durability for daily wear. After some research, I decided not to spend on the MTG1000 series at this time, so I decided on this G1000D-7A as a great value! It's a very handsome watch, but ONLY if you're looking for a solid hefty watch with a classic large watch face. I agree with the other reviewers who wrote: the photgraphs do NOT do this watch justice; it IS fairly complicated to use the features; and it does NOT light up in the dark (the luminous inserts are almost useless). Keep the manual handy for a while! For us older wearers who can't focus close, the small dials and the little manual are difficult to focus upon. This will help -- print out the pdf on letter-sized paper, and carry that around instead: [...] and search for Module # 5034 (this watch). Buy it and Enjoy!

I like this watch. It's a great looking piece and has many features and seems very well built. The issue with it is seeing it in the dark and setting it up. You need to be an astro physicist to figure it out.



I called Casio tech support, gave them the watch code and they aptly walked me through it - twice. I got the watch before we fell back, and they helped me set it up back then and again after we fell back.



I'll give them this, they're friendly, patient and know what they're doing in tech support!

Hey, i bought this watch the first day of december, but i was traveling, i returned on january 20 and saw the watch for the first time, and what happened?... I was Shocked, the watch is much and much better than the picture in Amazon.com, [...], the navigation is a little bit dificult, but the other pros are worth it. The silver color of the dial it's amazing (not white like in the picture), give it a try and go for it.

This seems to be a good watch however the instruction of how to adjust it to the correct date and time were challenging. The instructions were somewhat comfusing and the size of the prinnting was certainly a problem.

A serious problem that I have found is that the hands on the watch, hour and minute hands, are the same color or very similar in color as the face of the watch making it very difficult to read specially in poor lighting..

I am a big fan of Baby G watches. I've used 3 up to today and this one will be my fourth one.



Each of them last for about 3 years. The first one had jelly band. It was a gift from my brother. I forgot what happen to it. But it last for about 3-4 years and the appearance did not change by much at the end. The second one had its band made from leather, and because I used it when everyday every minute, it wears off after 2,5 years. (Well, I was still small and I did not know that you are not suppose to let water touches leather). The third one was also made from sky-blue fake leather band. I lost it after about 2,5 years using it. The last time I see it, the color has not change even a bit which was my concern when I bought it. I thought with sky blue color, the leather band will soon be dirty and lost its elegance. But I was wrong. The watch worthy its price. I love it and I regret losing it.



All three has never failed me. They were digital watches. I traveled a lot and therefore need to change time. It was good that I have such a good watch to keep the time for me. One of my friend use her Baby-G for ten years, but it never stopped working, too. I am buying this watch because of this reason. IT IS EXPENSIVE, but I need it nevertheless.

The watch is exactly like the picture but in person, what stands out more, is the white part of the case. The description says the case is 40 mm wide, and it really is but the white part around the numbers, where the "baby-g" sign is, is 33mm in diameter and the other 7mm is the metal part and is almost unnoticeable. This makes the watch look smaller than it really is. Also, I'm really glad I chose the watch with the pink dial because I think the white one would have looked a little boring. This one looks really classy, feminine and tough at the same time. The band is lighter than I expected but now I know it's a good thing because I can barely feel it. I've been wearing it for some days now and I have had no problems with cleanness. Maybe because I wash and bath with it. Also, it's true that sometimes I cannot see the small digital circles inside.I have to move my wrist to find the best light to see. I don't really care because it's a beautiful fancy watch.

Speedy timing! Perfect condition, just like it is on the picture. I am very happy with my new watch. I have to brush it every night because the white band gets dirty very often. The glow in the dark hands are solar so if they haven't been in the sun they won't glow very bright. Overall its perfect for a active woman who likes to be noticed!

A pity we had to send this back. It is a great looking watch face. The size is not as large as some Baby-G's (like the one my wife wore out previously and loves) which is a good thing. The problem we had was the chain strap. We were expecting an all-metal chain. The actual chain alternates between white-plastic and metal, not our cup of tea. I can see this now in the picture. The alternating chain material is much more apparent/contrasting on the actual item. We'll have to find another Baby G!

I thought this was going to have everything I wanted in a watch. It's stylish, functional and seems well-made. The biggest draw for me was the 5 daily alarms. Baby-G is the only line I can find that offers a good-looking women's watch with more than 3 alarms. When I received the watch, I was disappointed to see that the watchband is actually silver and white, and the face is also white, while both appear silver in the photo, unless you're looking closely. I'm afraid the white would get dirty really quickly, and I don't know if it would be easy to replace the band in the future. The band was also too big; I'm guessing I would have had to take it to a jeweler to remove the links (although, according to a review on a different color, you can do it yourself, but not easily). I might have been able to deal with that because of the cool features, but the gray on silver readout on the 3 digital subdials are impossible for me to read. I never even played with the alarms and other features, because I knew I wasn't keeping the watch, so I can't speak for its functionality. It's too bad; I thought I had found the perfect watch. It looks like the only one of the 3 colors offered in this line that is easier to read is the pink and black style. I guess the one quality that was missing for me was a little practicality. :-(
