Okay for a freebie, but wouldn't want to pay for it! May be useful for separating small items that need to be carried in a briefcase or suitcase.

 "OK storage sack." 2009-12-21

Casio Cinch Sack was a freebiew with the Casio G-Shock watch I bought. Cinch sack is for light duty and storage purposes. Would not use it as daily luggage -- not tough enough to be a school book bag.

The Casio DataBank 300 watch I purchased is just so lovely and oldskool. And it actually works, too. The bag was a freebie and isn't good for anything but for very light duty. Wonderful watch. Bogus bag.

 "Great look" 2009-12-21
By Luis E. Avalos (San Diego, CA)
The moment I Got this watch I was amazed of the look. Definately what I was looking for in a stylish sports watch. If you are looking for something that looks great and performs well this is the watch for you. It feels comfortable on your wrist after a week. I haven't had a watch for a long time so it took a little to get comfortable wearing one again.

 "Meant All My Expectations" 2009-12-06
By J. Lancelot (Taylor, TX USA)
I've had the watch a few weeks and from the reviews and pictures it's meant all my expectations. The only problem I've had is with the daylight savings setting (DST). On the AUTO setting, it's an hour ahead as if daylight savings is still in effect. When DST is set to OFF, the correct time is displayed but I'm not sure if the manual DST setting is affecting it's ability to sync with the radio signal although it is keeping perfect time. When I have the chance, I'll get out my magnifying glass and spend some more time reading the user's guide. Even though it's a relatively cheap gadget, it be nice if there was online support for questions/problems.

 "Battery won't stay charged" 2009-11-14
By P. H. Sherrod (Nashville, TN)
I am very disappointed with this watch, because the solar charging battery runs down every few days. I assumed the battery would keep the watch running for months or years without any solar power, but it turns out that it has a tiny battery that requires solar charging every day or two to keep it running. Several times I've had to leave the watch outside during the day to charge it sufficiently to get the display to come back on.

I am giving up on this watch and purchasing a non-solar version.

"Great watch, durable, looks nice" 2009-09-22
By Richard U. Newell (West Des Moines, IA)
OK, the watch is big and a bit clunky, although you will get used to it like everything else in this world.

The problem with other watches is actually a problem with me: I'm a klutz, and eventually the watches get scratches, the writing fades, the buttons fall off, and the thing generally goes ugly on you. Not this one, it has been on my wrist for a solid year and it looks like new. It helps that the face is slighty recessed. The technology in the watch is cool, is stays updated and charged. In the wintertime there is less light and for about a month in March the battery charge (which is the second dial on the watch) went from high to medium. But after the first week of solid sunshine it was back to high again. Watch performance was not impeded in any way during that time.

"Bad @ss watch that has no parallel for the price!" 2009-12-09
By Thomas (Denver, CO)
This Casio is solar powered, has atomic time keeping, is 200m water proof, has a perpetual calendar (day/date) programed to 2099, has a chronograph (to 1/20th sec.) that can be paused, has 1 daily alarm, supports 29 world time zones, and it's an awesome looking G-Shock that is fully analog! All of its features are useful and work as intended. This watch simply can't be beat for the price!

Other reviewers have commented that it's complicated: it is. Get over it though, seriously. You don't buy a watch like this for its looks alone; you buy it because of the features it has. Take a little time and go through the manual. After a short get-to-know session with the watch and a few visits to the manual you will be able to easily do all you will ever need to do with it. It's a high tech watch so there is a learning curve to be expected.

Several reviewers have mentioned that the alarm is quiet: it is. Just plan on using it only as a "reminder alarm" and not relying on it as a "wake-up alarm". Low alarm volume is typical of most wristwatches anyway.

Some reviewers have stated that the hands move slowly when adjusting the alarm or switching between time zones. They're a little bit slow but personally I enjoy watching the 5-motor technology at work. If you are too impatient to wait for the hands to move while you change the settings you shouldn't buy a feature packed analog watch like this one; go with a basic analog or get a digital watch instead.

One reviewer said that the 24 hour dial (upper left) doesn't do anything. That is not correct. In regular time keeping mode the dial displays a.m. and p.m. and it's useful for a no-math-involved conversion to military time. In stop watch mode it counts the hours elapsed. Those features may be considered trivial to some but it is incorrect to say the dial does nothing.

As another reviewer noted the chronograph minutes are difficult to read accurately since there are only 5 minute interval hatch marks on the upper right dial. This is a minor downfall but after getting accustomed to reading the chronograph minutes dial and checking it carefully, it is entirely possible to get an accurate reading. If the main reason you were interested in this watch was for its chronograph, you may want to reconsider.

My favorite things about this watch: It is super comfortable; it's easy to read at a quick glance; it shows the day and date; it's solar powered; the atomic time keeping works great and makes transitions to and from daylight savings a breeze. It is also easy to clean and keep looking like new. I have been wearing this watch every day for a several months now and it barely shows any signs of wear. I also like that this Casio doesn't have any stuff I won't use like a tachymeter or tide graph. The one thing I would like this watch to have that it doesn't is a light.

"Good timepiece but can't do anything else" 2009-12-01
By Systeme Meditech (Montreal, Canada)
Nice looking watch with lots of functions that can't be used.

Takes a long time to move to the alarm, or world time functions.

Chrono time can't be read accurately.

Alarms...can't be heard unless you hold the watch up to your ear.

I've taken the watch all over the city and haven't been able to sync it yet.

I love watches and this one looks great so, for the price, I won't send it back. But if I had to do it again, I wouldn't buy this one. Casio has so many other great products, don't waste your money or time on this one.

 "Casio G-SHOCK Giez" 2009-10-22
By C. Michael Watkins
Great looking watch, feels and looks solidly made - very "macho" while maintaining a degree of quality and class that is missing in many other very expensive brands.

With an attractive design, lots of function and clear function layout, it is, for the (Amazon) price, excellent value.

On the downside, rather too chunky - sits high on the wrist which makes it prone to snagging - and the resin band gets "itchy" if worn tightly enough to eliminate too much slack.

I find the day function symbols a little too small for my ageing eyes

The operations guide is confusing at first and procedures for taking advantage of all the functions appear a little complex - it took some time before I could understand the different modes and get comfortable enough to use most of the functions. After 6 weeks I still could not use them all without going back to the manual. The stop-watch function is certainly intuitive, however.

Synching with the Atomic time server is rather hit or miss - especially, for US buyers, if outside the 600 mile signal radius from Fort Collins, CO - but the accuracy and reliability of the watch appears to make any gap between synchs moot.

Alarm beep is almost inaudible with no apparent volume control and doesn't work at all when following some function procedures (on my watch) - like setting "Home City" which requires you to "hold down A for about 5 seconds until alarm beeps twice"

Despite the above, I am becoming much more comfortable with the functions as time goes on and am increasingly pleased with my purchase of this watch.

"Awsome Watch For Frequent Travellers" 2009-10-16
By Sudhakar Mishra
This is a really nice watch for people who travel frequently.

Pros:

1) Looks & Finish

2) Functionality

3) Ruggedness (Its G-Shock!)

Cons:

1) Difficult to operate.

Its difficult to operate & takes a lot of time in setting up (that's the reason I gave it 4 stars), but you'll get used to it.

Well, in a crux, its a value for money watch with loads of fuction & style. Go for it....!

 "I like this watch." 2009-09-20
By W. L. HAMILTON (California)
This is an outstanding watch. The only down side is that the altitude sensor works off barometric pressure and is therefore subject to inaccuracy as the weather changes. I knew this going in though, so it wasn't unexpected. You can enter altitude corrections, but unless you're carrying a barometer with you, who knows what the actual pressure is. Temperature is also inaccurate due to body temp when the watch is worn.

I was in Liepzig,Germany with this watch and it successfully negotiated an update with the radio signal present there. It's great when traveling and crossing multiple time zones.

 "Brilliant" 2009-09-18
By M. Whalen (Portland, OR)
Fantastic watch...solar+atomic+perpetual calendar mean set it and forget it. I use the world time (I travel frequently) and countdown timer constantly. Temp works well if not on the wrist (I use the wrist strap to attach the watch to my backpack for 20 minutes before using, which generates a reasonable reading). Altimeter is fairly accurate-I have not used the barometer much. About the only feature I would like to see is a setting which would allow the afterlgo to stay on slightly longer-it's adequate for telling time at a glance but doesn't really allow you to adjust settings etc in low light conditions. G-Shock should insure super reliability, but I haven't had the watch long enough to comment.
