Just received the watch yesterday. Got all the settings figured out in 2 hours. I keep wearing it at night and it synchronizes fine. Love all the features except for the following:
1-the seconds arm seems to be off the markings by about 10% forward (shouldn't be a problem for most people)
2-it doesn't show the month, only the day and date
3-there is no way to swap the home time (analog) with another time zone's time. That would be helpful when traveling to a different time zone and you would like to change the analog time without having to change your home city. My Citizen watch does that with a simple press of 2 buttons simultaneously.
4-wrist band is too long for people with thin wrists to the point that the tip of the band reaches close to the watch.

I bought this watch for my father and he loves it. It took us a little while to truly learn how to set the alarms and understand how it works, but it was worth it. This watch is perfect for him because he does not have to worry about changing the batteries, setting it to the correct time wherever he goes and it has 3 alarms. The looks of the watch is also just right because it's not overly sporty nor overly elegant. It is a great looking watch that can be worn everyday. Overall, we are very happy with it.

I've owned this watch for over 8 months, and pretty much never taken it off since I bought it (that is, until the band broke yesterday when it got caught).
First off, the watch is very attractive, the face inside the crystal is patterned and iridescent because of the solar cells, which really appealed to me. The crystal is glass (as others have mentioned) which means it's far more resistant to scratching than the plastic faced ones. I actually found that the metal part (bezel) tends to scratch easier. To belabor the point, the Moh's hardness (resistance to scratching) of glass is about a 6, which is harder than (non-carbon) steel (which is around 5 on the same scale). I wear my watches face-in (with the watch face on the inside of my wrist instead of outward like normal), so my watches tend to get scratched pretty quickly. This one has been a pleasant surprise in that I've only scratched it a few times, whereas most would be unreadable by now.
The solar feature is awesome, I've never seen the power level fall below MED level. And the automatic time synchronization is meant for people like me who always forget to set their watch periodically. The fact that it is waterproof means that I even wear it in the shower (which the manual will tell you not to do, incidentally). The bezel does not turn (in case the photos fooled you). The watch has the ability to display two different times - one in the analog display and one in the digital display, which is immensely useful when traveleing and wanting to know when to call (or not to call) friends and family in the original time zone. There is a stopwatch feature (which I never use) and three alarms that can be set individually (which I find really useful).
As mentioned by other reviewers, the setting up initially (and especially the timezones) is exceptionally arcane, and far too complex. It was confounding! I like puzzles, but, well, this was ridiculous. The dirty secret is that the SOME of the buttons change function depending upon which "mode" the watch is in, and there is no indicator of which mode the watch is in besides what screen is being displayed. The manual might help a little, but I had better success playing with the buttons until I figured out what they did depending on which display was active immediately prior to pushing the button. Did I mention I liked puzzles? Changing the timezone while traveling kept me amused long enough to pass the time while waiting for a delayed flight, and probably annoyed the people waiting in the terminal with me as well as a bonus(with all the constant beeping). If you are less patient and just want a watch that is quick and easy to set up, you will quickly decide to return this one, so spare yourself. For the rest, take heart, with some fortitude it can be done.
The watch band is a rubber-type material, which is pretty durable unless it gets caught on the collar of a large squirmy dog. I did find it a little big/loose for my taste, even at its tightest buckle. As with most buckle watches, you buckle it and tuck the rest of the remaining band through a loop to hold it in place. Unfortunately, the remaining band was not held well by the loop, and flared out for me (to inevitably get caught on other things). I fixed this for myself by taking the loop off of another, smaller old Casio band and feeding it over the buckle so that the remaining band was now held by *two* loops instead of one. That worked like a charm.
All in all, this is a great everyday watch, and once it is set up, you never have to muck with it (unless you travel across time zones). I would definitely buy it again, even though I now need to replace the band.

Love the watch. Second waveceptor watch I have purchased. Looks like the band is reinforced for wear more than previous watch which eventually tore in the strap. It lives up,so far, to all the 5 star ratings listed in the reviews.

My hat is off to anyone who says setting up this watch was not a problem. I returned mine to Amazon today. I have previously had several multi-function watches and had little or no difficulty with the set ups. After playing with and trying to follow Cascio instructions, off and on for 5 days, I finally gave up. From this point on I will forget about the atomic age when it comes to watches and go back to the more traditional ones some of which even have 10 year batteries.
