the only problem i have with this watch is, when you want to use the light i have to press and hold the button. other than that true g shock value.

I really like the watch shape, the color of the watch and size. I think the watch has a perfect weight, not too much heavy to use in the hand. The band is hard but flexible so you can use without problems in any environment. Use this watch walking or under water without any problems, remember you can down up to 660 feets, really difficult for a normal person to reach that.

We bought this watch for our oldest who is going into the millitary and needed a watch to take to basic training with him and for our second oldest who attends Civil Air Patrol. This is a great watch since it's shock resistant, water resistant and I really like the digital/analogue feature. The idea being they can put the digital on millitary time and the analogue will help him see "real time" at a glance. Also the day feature being prominent was cool and the design was very masculine. It's not as large as some sports watches out there which is a plus since my guys are pretty thin and a huge watch would look funny. We bought this model in the blue face and also the black and both look great. The only thing I wasn't wild about was the strap which is pretty stiff and made of plastic which I imagine may get uncomfotable during exercise but I don't honestly think my boys will care much and that aside, the watch and band seem to be very durable and for the price these were great watches.

This is absolutely the best watch you can buy period! The only thing I could assume that's missing is a compass or a high end sapphire crystal and/or BLING. The combination of Analog and Digital function is perfect. I couldn't have thought of a better design of a watch! The stainless steel case is a great touch.
The only thing that you might have to admit is that you own a CASIO : )
Hey CASIO,you guys need a Toyota/LEXUS Subsidiary or something!

I've owned several G-Shocks, and liked them all. After a few months of owning this one, though, the case broke at the base of one of the pins. I didn't even know these things COULD break.
So I sent it back to Casio for a repair estimate, and they quoted me a $35 repair even though the watch was still under warranty. When I asked why, I was told they cover only the module--the timekeeping guts of the watch--not the case or band. They didn't imply that I'd mistreated the watch (which was good, because I hadn't); they just told me no G-Shock is covered for the case falling apart.
I found this shocking. People buy G-Shocks because of their ridiculous durability--but according to Casio, if you buy one and it crumbles on the way to your car, well, tough. In other words, they make no good faith effort to ensure customers get what they think they're getting. Pretty shockingly cynical from a company I had previously respected.
I felt the only proper response was to vow never to buy their products again, and spread the word about what I think is a truly arrogant policy. I wrote them and told them so. If they change their ways, I'll be back as a customer. In the meantime, if you're buying a G-Shock because it's a tough watch, remember: it better be, because if you get a bum one, you're on your own.
