Have had good luck with all 3 Casio watches I own; they last a long time and work well. My only gripe with this watch is that when using the time display, the day and date display at the top of the window is kinda small and difficult to read.



The face and overall size of the watch are a bit larger than normal, but that's what I wanted. It does look a little off-balance because there are three metal side buttons that protrude, but the 4th one (at the 10 o'clock position) does not.



Update on 1/2010 - the battery died already. I think I've only owned this watch for 1 and 1/2 years. On all of the previous Casio watches I've owned the watch died before the battery. Maybe the watch broke? I'll have to try a new battery and see if that fixes it. I have not abused this watch or submerged it so this failure is unexpected. For this reason, I'v downgraded my rating from 4 to 2 stars.

This watch is not flashy. It does its job, and well at that. It keeps time without the glitter of "nice watches." I put it on when I got it, and have since not removed it much. I play soccer in it, sleep in it, shower in it, swim in it, run in it, work in it. It is strikingly weightless on your wrist. Very comfortable as well. It has not disappointed. I have several other watches which I love to look at and keep those for special occasions. Don't expect strangers to complement this piece. Its just not that eye candy. So if functionality and dependability are the priority, you are looking at it.

I purchased this watch about 4-5 years ago, having had good luck with all my Casio watches in the past. However, after about a year or so, the plastic ring around the face became unglued and fell off. Because this didn't really affect the function of the watch (I wasn't taking it underwater), I kept wearing it until some months later, the piece connecting the watch to the band broke. It was a disappointment in comparison to previous Casio watches I owned, but for $20, I guess a 2-3 year lifetime is what you get these days.

This is an oversight by Amazon. This is better suited for a child, not a man. On my wrist (and my wrists are average sized), it fits on the second to the last hole. 1/2 the time the strap comes out of the loop, where it snags on things, making it look like kind of like a shoe would untied.

A nice watch with all the features that most watches of this type have. It's a little thinner than others I have had so it's more comfortable to wear.



One weak point is that the crystal is made of a softer plastic than most so you have to be careful not to scratch it.

The hourly signal beep helped me and the lap counter of 60 is sufficient for 15 hrs with 15 mins interval pratice making this watch suitable. Recall function allowed me to put exact times of day i remembered and create visual graph

Watch is ok, it was what I expected. The zoom viewing on Amazon helps to make a good choice online for a small product such as a watch. Where this product really didn't meet expectations was the band. The quality of the band is very cheap. The screws that you remove to adjust the length were so bad that I was not able to remove a link. The manual that came with the watch did not have instructions for adjusting the band and I could not find any.

Also, I have begun receiving spam to my email since I ordered this watch.

When I got this watch, i was surprised by the plastic dial 'diver's' ring that doesn't move. But despite this appearance it looked good on the outside, until you bump into anything. It scratches like cheap plastic and then becomes harder to read. I have had this watch for 3 weeks now and scratched it 4 times. I bumped into the wall again today while carrying something up the steps - it left a mark.



BEWARE - do not buy this 'mineral' watch face. It is plastic. It scratches very easily. I plan to return/buy a better watch next time, and by that I mean next week.

Be careful when selecting this watch because there are two very similar looking Casio watches in this diver's watch style. This particular watch has a plain (bright) white face and a digital information window at the bottom. The other watch has (in my opinion) a more attractive pearlized light-silver face but with 3 analog dials. If you're over 45 and use "readers", you may need them to read either watch face. Aside from your preference for the appearance of the watch face, both watches are otherwise excellent.

I too bought mine at Sears on sale for around $25 about three years ago. The only maintenance so far has been watch bands, which run about $11. So I have spent more (I am on my third band) on watch bands than the watch. Keeps excellent time, easy to use and rugged. The crystal is scratched, the body has worn to a very shiny black, but it keeps on tickin'.



I bought it for the analog dial and was surprised by the features. I never take it off and I have shoveled, cut logs, fenced and a host of other abrasive and shock prone tasks. When the time does come, I will replace it with the same model.

One of the only reasons i bought this watch was because of the ana-digi feature. little did i know i bought one of the best watches i will ever own. Water proof, so i never take it off. One of the problems which is probably not a biggy is that you have to change the ana clock and the digi clock seperately, but thats cool if you want to know the time in two places. Overall, best watch, and its at a really good price.

This little watch has all the features of a watch costing two to three times what it costs.

It is easy to set the various features -- a stop watch, a timer, calendar, alarm and digital time. It was exactly what I wanted in a sport watch. The picture of the watch does not do it justice as I find the actual watch better looking. The only drawback is that the digital window is a little small which makes it hard to read the numbers. However, the backlight does a lot to improve legibility. In all, you can't go wrong with this watch considering the reasonable price.

I was after a good looking watch that was easy to read. This is my first Casio and I'm impressed with the quality. The dial is very impressive in person and the size is large without being pretentious. The band snaps securely and looks expensive. It's very easy to set up the time, even though the owner manual is a bit skimpy. My only gripe is I wish the digital readout was a bit larger, but it's not a deal breaker.



Overall, this is a great watch, especially for the price. You can't go wrong here.

I ordered this AMW320RD-2AV at under $70.00 hoping for what looked like a very nice watch that could withstand scuba diving at a reasonable price. This watch is described on the Amazon web site as "Casio Men's Sport Alarm Ana-Digi Blue >Dive< Watch". I just now received this watch ONE DAY before an overseas trip on which I plan to scuba-dive and was hoping to wear this watch scuba-diving, snorkeling, on the beach as well as traveling around. I noticed on reception that the watch I received didn't have a clear plastic top part of the case... I wasn't too concerned about that but... now I notice after spending some time working through instructions and reviewing this watch that I was shipped AMW-320R, waterproof to 100m, "Rank IV" in the instruction manual and good for snorkeling/"diving" but NOT good enough for the pressures of SCUBA DIVING... VERY BIG DIFF IN SUSTAINED UNDERWATER PRESSURES!!!! Now I'm out a "DIVE" watch I spent a LOT of time selecting and selected specifically for the needs of my overseas vacation one day before I need to leave for it. No time to fix this situation whatsoever. I'm very upset. This is a pretty big misleading/cheat vs. what I ordered for a specific purpose and I'm NOT happy with the use of the term "dive" in the Amazon description. Casio doesn't call it a dive watch whatsoever... but only now do I figure it out on further research after reviewing things. I drop my review to one star and and cancel out every other aspect of this transaction on this one issue alone. I don't like getting mislead, especially after I always spend so much time trying to read, re-read, research and be careful to avoid mistakes. Dammit, Amazon!

After several months I dropped the watch and it landed on the "push buttons". A watch repair place gave me the part number to contact casio because casio wont sell to them. That cheap plastic retainer that holds the "works" in place was around $38.00 plus $8.00 shipping. Then I'd take it to the watch repair place and spend........As you can see, it's not worth fixing.

I took the back off and removed the small broken tab and set all the digital settings and I have to live with that or buy a new watch.

They were made to be disposable. But if you don't drop it...it's a good watch!

I love the design of this watch and bought two of them when they cost $60.00. The only thing is the plastic section of the band that connects to the watch. Both bands have failed at that same place. The plastic cracks and breaks. I have been able to replace the bands with another metal one. The new bands pin into the other weak spot -- the plastic connecting piece that looks like metal. Eventually that gives way too. Now that the price is less than half of what I paid for them, I'll buy another one because the functions are so great.

I needed a basic watch for quick switching to multiple time zones while traveling overseas. This one does the job well with very simple one-button functionality. The band is cheap plastic. The back-light is the worst I've seen from all the Casio watches I've owned. Not only is it weak, it stays on for less than 2 seconds, even if I hold down the light button. [BTW, best backlights can be found in Timex's Expedition watches. Better than some expensive brands.]



Pros:

-Light weight. Good for wearing for longer periods of time.

-Best feature is ease of use.

-Easy one-button switching to different modes.



Cons:

-Band is plastic.

-Back-lighting is very weak.

-Back-lighting is way too quick.

Like many other reviewers have said, this is a stylish and functional watch with a significant weakness. I purchased this in 2007, and it continues to run well. I needed a watch that was good for casual office wear and could also keep time at the gym or when jogging. Within a week of office/errand wear it had scratches on the crystal. I now use it as a weekend/gym watch because it doesn't look nice enough to wear to the office. I would not purchase this watch again. I'd by a cheap-o digital from the Big Box store for exercising and a nicer analog watch that wouldn't scratch so easily for those times I need a black watch.

Got this watch urgently one night when I noticed previous watch that I wore everywhere, even when swimming, fogged up one night after swimming indicating a leak after a couple of years of good use (different design - also a Casio). The design on this watch was a little different and very functional with both analogue and digital displays. It is very inexpensive, so I figured I would have nothing to lose. I am really enjoying the watch. A little quirky to set up (it is delivered in Tokyo time so you have to adjust based on the largest major city which represents your time zone ---easy but different). I wish the display were a little brighter but it is sufficient. The blue glow that happens when you push the upper right button shows off the digital display well in a dark room. Have gotten unsolicited compliments on the watch by friends and colleagues. It is comfortable as well. The digital second hand animated circle is cool yet functional. All in all I am very very happy with this purchase. No leaks yet. Performs well underwater and on land.

One point that I like about this watch is that it is nice having both the time in analog and digital. The backlight also does a good job of illuminating the time.

The only faults I noticed are that the face scratches more easily than I would like, and the watch is a bit thick.

But overall I would say this is a good buy.

Great for first few days...then the face developed severe scratching, making this watch unusable within a few weeks!! One of the most disappointing purchases I've recently made.
