 "Good watch" 2009-10-24
By Chris, CA
I been Casio's royal customer for over 30 years. (lots watches) Even I owned many other brands watches for different occasions, but Casio always stay as my main day to day life watch. I was introduced to this line by my friend just last year (I been using databank and calculator types most of time), and after comparing the pricing, Amazon has the best price, so I purchase both blue and pink color Baby-G over a year ago. I am happy to say that the watches work well and live up to my expectation. However, like other has mention, the color faded few months after I have it. It's not as pretty as new, but to me a watch's function is more important. Each of my Casio stayed with me for many years until I am tired of spending money changing the belt or batteries. I don't remember any of them die on me, I am taking one star off for the color issue. Overall, a nice watch to own.

 "Excellent product" 2009-09-14
By b.link
This watch is durable, waterproof and has lots of handy features. Casio watches have a reputation for being long lasting reliable watches which is why i purchased this product and i am glad that i did. I highly recommend it to anyone. I had previously brought other watches from other extremely expensive brands (like fossil) but they only last maybe 1 or 2 months because the band breaks or the metal/plastic/glass components fall off! but this is definitely not the case with casio watches. This is a high quality watch.

I love my new casio baby-g watch. I like the fact that the watch face is protected against scratches. I am always hitting my watches on things and they end up getting damaged, this is very tough watch . I love the pretty blue color

 "Nice Girl's Sports Watch" 2009-06-28
By Hank (Pasadena, CA United States)
I bought this Casio Baby-G for my college age daughter whose older Baby-G finally wore out after 11 years (crystal scratched, band worn, battery dead). This new Baby-G has a strong plastic band and the color is beautiful. The only thing I personally don't like is the adjustment buttons. They still seem too stiff and hard to adjust (need to press hard). And, the second time mode is not particularly useful in my opinion. Otherwise, the watch is fine and low cost.

 "Don't buy! Casio doesn't honor waranty" 2009-06-24
By Sweet Cheetah (Omaha, NE)
I had this watch for 11 months when one of the buttons fell off. I returned it to Casio, thinking that they would honor the waranty, but NO! They wanted to charge me $40 to glue the button back on, and they wanted to charge me $7.95 just to return the watch to me broken! They gave me some lame excuse about why a button that is vital to the functioning to the watch is not covered under waranty, but the bottom line is: I provided the receipt and all of the info that they required but they said that the button is not part of the parts that is covered. BOGUS! Do not waste your money.

 "Great Watch, Great Deal" 2010-01-05
By Adam Jensen (Florida)
I am really liking this watch so far, I've had it for about a week. From some of the reviews I read I was a bit afraid it would be hard to work, but I found it very easy and the instructions a very good, (and I didn't have to print them online). I liek others have had issues trying to manually connect for the atomc time in Colorado, but if left in the window at nioght like the manal says it gets it every time. Bottom line I think it is a great watch for the price and I really like the blue face.

"Great looking watch, manual is baffling" 2009-12-15
By Brian D. Pratt (West Palm Beach, FL)
Probably the best looking watch in Casio's lineup. Good deal for under $200. Does take extreme patience to figure out how to get the time setup the first time. Really Casio. A picture with arrows to tell me how to set it up? Worst manual ever. As long as the solar battery lasts I will be happy with this watch.

"You Could Make a Career Of Setting the Time on This Watch" 2009-12-06
By Nero Wolfe (Ft. Worth ,TX)
This is the last time I buy a watch without a crown to set the time. The only way to set it is to read the crummy instruction book about 10 times over and spend the evening pressing buttons. I finally did get it set then guess what. Daylight Savings time ends and the book says to leave in the window with a clear view of the western sky and it will correct itself when it receives the signal from the atomic clock. Ha! It's been in the window 3 weeks and it's still an hour off.

Pure garbage!

 "not reliable" 2009-09-15
By M. Boissonneault (Montreal)
This watch worked perfectly for about 6 months, then, its stop indicating the time. I read thoroughly the instruction; contact the Casio service (which is not very good either). Finally I decided to buy a Timex for a fraction of that price. A lot of features but not reliable at all.

"Great watch except for the fact that the minute hand is busted!" 2009-12-02
By amazon customer
I really like this watch which makes giving it this rating more painful. All of the features work great- alarm, stopwatch, atomic features, and solar all work painlessly. It looks gorgeous and is the perfect weight; substantial but not a burden on your arm like other G-Shocks. But the watch is useless to me because the minute hand is now exactly 4 minutes ahead of the digital function! I'm the kind of guy who likes to know the exact time (OCD I know) which is the reason that I got an ATOMIC WATCH. Because it's supposed to be exact! But having to look at the tiny digital display to see the exact time is obnoxious and makes this watch not worth the money. It was out of warranty when it started to do this and I'm not going to pay to repair it. When I'm going to class and quickly glance at my watch on my bike, I have to think 4 minutes behind, which gets old over time.

I've tried to reset it but the minute hand always seems to sync exactly 4 minutes ahead of the digital part. I'm going to buy a new G-Shock, one without the analog function. It looks really elegant to have a nice analog watch but at this price, maybe I better keep it simple and avoid the risk.

"backlight could be better, indestructable, 4 years and still running" 2009-09-12
By JE (dublin, ca)
it's a g-shock. you probably will lose your arm before this watch breaks. analog dial g-shock looks cool. the minute hand moves 1/3 minute every 20 seconds. it has power management features, if you put it away for a while the display turns off, the hands stop. when you pick it up or push a button it wakes up and the hands reset to the correct time. fun to watch. starts conversations with guys who like g-shock watches.

my only complaints:

backlight is bright enough to light up the illuminated hands a little but it's nearly impossible to see the lcd display using the backlight in the dark.

face is small for today's fashion trends.

stopwatch is basic, hard to see, not a primary feature

 "excellent watch" 2009-05-14
By S. Heeraman (Trinidad)
i bought this watch because the band from my old on burst, this watch is really nice and sweet, excellent charging, and atomic time keeping is great the only draw back is the back light, it only covers from 9 to 3 straight across, but i guess the reason for the normal illumination light is because of the solar pannel on the watch itself..that why i give it a 55 star

 "Nice Watch" 2009-05-03
By Gary Sibilant
This is a decent watch, it's got Atomic Timekeeping (in the US) and it is also solar powered, so you can pretty much buy it and not have to set the time ever, all you do is wear it! It also has a cool party trick in that the watch illuminates when you move your arm to look at the time - but only when the watch senses that the ambient light is not good enough, in sunlight and good indoor lighting the watch illumination does not come on, pretty neat! The only bad thing about this watch is that the digital readout is rather small and not too practical. This keeps the watch from getting a 5 star rating from me.

 "Awesome little watch!!" 2009-10-23
By Terri Morris (North Carolina)
I got this watch about 5 months ago and I LOVE it! 4 alarms, optional hourly chirp, stopwatch, timer (and a few other basic digital watch features). This is an affordable watch that actually lokks NICE. The plastic part does NOT look plastic. I wear it all of the time. It is fancy enough to wear out and sporty enough to run in. VERY DURABLE!!! I am ordering another one as a backup!!!

"Baby-G Pink Metal Bracelet Watch" 2009-09-06
By H. Walker (Doncaster, S. Yorkshire, UK)
I purchased this for my wife from Amazon.com - as she wanted a Baby-G watch with a metal bracelet strap. This product, strangely isn't available in the UK which I think is a bit silly as Casio would make a killing over here with it. It was still as cheap as a normal Baby-G watch in the UK even with import taxes. My wife loves it, knowing that the resin plastic straps discolour over time, and that this one won't. As good as you could possibly expect from Casio's Baby-G Range.

"best watch I've ever owned!" 2009-07-13
By Miss Dynamite (Idaho)
I bought this watch almost a year ago. I'd been wanting a baby G for years but always had a hard time finding what I wanted locally so I looked on Amazon and this piece struck my fancy.

It's sporty and digital, yet the stainless band makes it so it can be worn with different outfits. The pink dial is pretty and girly without being obnoxious and I love the pink light. I don't find it heavy, but maybe that's from years of wearing durable, bulky watches when I was in the Marines. This piece would have been perfect then to wear in the field with utilities or in garrison in my charlies. I did have to take it to a jeweler to have four links removed; I didn't want to risk damaging it by doing it myself. It would be nice if the links were easier to remove on your own; I have an LEI watch where the links snap on and off and I think that would work well with something like this. It's also very durable. There isn't a nick or a scratch on it and I abuse it at work and at play.

I've read a couple of negative reviews when it comes to the watch being waterproof, but I have had no problems at all in the past year. I have worn it in the lake, the pool, at the waterslides, washing my truck, and washing dishes and have yet to have a problem. Other waterproof watches have crapped out on me in no time flat but this one keeps on going. Of course, it's helpful that the manual reminds you to have the gaskets replaced every couple of years.

 "Casio Baby G g-ms pink watch" 2009-06-27

Casio Baby G g-ms pink watch

It is very easy to learn/use all the functions. Adjusting the band took a little cooperation between my husband and me...three hands were needed! I wish it had a stop watch that went for 24 hours. I need to keep track of my actual time on a job...and the stop watch only goes for 60 minutes. I have adapted by using the timer...starting it at 24 hours and then figuring out how much time was used on the job.
