The simply designed Casio G-Shock Classic digital watch for men offers shock resistance that's great for your most vigorous sporting activities. The durable rectangular black watch case measures 45mm wide (1.77 inches), and it's matched to a comfortable black resin sports strap. It includes a stopwatch function that can measure events down to 1/100 of a second for the first 60 minutes (and down to 1 second from 60 minutes to 24 hours), and it offers elapsed and split time modes, and 1st-2nd place times. It also has a countdown timer with a 24-hour range. Other timekeeping features include a multi-function alarm, hourly time signal (which can be turned off), and 12/24-hour formats. This timepiece also features an Auto Calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2039), ±15-second accuracy per month, Afterglow backlighting, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--which will stand up to the rigors of recreational scuba diving.

I bought one of these when they first came out. I abused it like I do for watches, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, shop work, everything. After 10 years or so the plastic finally peeled off it which made it uncomfortable to wear. And I was getting to the point it was easier see an analog than a digital with out glasses so I bought an analog, wore it till it died, bought another self winding analog and it died today. In the mean time that old Casio G Shock I bought back in the 1980's is still running. I dug it out. It was about 30 minutes off but it hasn't been set in 10 years or more. The date and the day were still correct. I think the battery is getting a little weak but it is the original battery. Same band too. Anyway I wear glasses all the time now and digitals are a lot cheaper than self winding analogs so I bought another one. Same watch as the old one though interestingly enough the right hand buttons are reversed, properly labeled but reversed, compared to the old one. Anyway it's a fine watch. Well worth the money.

I had to purchase this watch to replace an identical one. The original watch lasted 12 years, and only on it's second battery. Had to replace it because when it was opened for the second time to replace the battery, the water-sealing O-ring became deformed and wouldn't go back in. A phenominal work-horse of a watch, for the price. Highly recommended.

totally worth the money, macys sells the shinier (uglier) version of this watch for about $100.00. easy to use once you read the manual, and the blue light is really bright at night when you turn it on. just wish i could have the blue light on all the time... oh well, still a really nice watch

I've had the Casio Men's G-Shock Classic Watch for approximately one month. Comfortable to wear. Have not used many of the functions yet. Appears tough and may last many years but too soon to tell but so far so good. Good, utilitarian work watch. No comment regarding battery life but I've read it can last quite awhile. Overall, good, accurate watch for the price.

Sturdy watch with exactly what you really need out of a digital watch. Been having it only for a week but already am getting used to it! If you don't mind looking like a kiddo then this is the best watch you can buy I guess.
